Despite the centrality of energy to production and investment decisions, empirical evidence on how fluctuations in energy prices interact with financial stability and industrial growth in Nigeria remains limited.
Objective: This study examines the effects of energy price volatility on financial stability in Nigeria. Also, the role of industrial growth and exchange rate movements in shaping financial stability outcomes in Nigeria.
Methods: The study employed annual time-series data for Nigeria, with Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) to capture both short-run and long-run relationships among the variables. Financial stability was modelled as a function of energy price volatility, industrial growth, and the exchange rate. Bounds testing was conducted to establish long-run relationships, while error correction mechanisms were used to analyse short-run.
Results: Findings reveal that energy price volatility exerts a negative effect on financial stability in both short and long run, indicating fluctuations in energy prices undermine Nigeria’s financial system. Contrariwise, industrial growth shows a positive relationship with financial stability, suggesting that increased industrial activity enhances resilience against energy price shocks. The exchange rate also exhibits a negative and significant effect on financial stability, showing Nigeria’s susceptibility to external economic disturbances.
Conclusion: The results shows that stabilising energy prices and strengthening industrial capacity are critical for safeguarding financial stability in Nigeria. Recommendation includes, the adoption of energy price stabilisation policies, accelerated industrialization strategies, and a managed exchange rate regime.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jamiu Adeniyi Yusuf, Saka Fatai Adio, Babalola Abubakar Akoredehttps://ejournal.gomit.id/aktual/article/view/584Impact of Health Education Campaigns on Awareness and Attitudes Towards Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management Practices2026-01-28T20:44:27+07:00Usman Bishirsholymsw@gmail.com
Background: Environmental sanitation and effective waste management are critical determinants of public health and environmental sustainability, particularly in developing communities where improper practices remain prevalent.
Objectives: This review examines the impact of health education campaigns on the level of awareness, attitudes, and practices related to environmental sanitation and waste management.
Method: The research adopts a descriptive and analytical approach using existing scholarly literature published from 2015 to 2025 to assess the changes in knowledge and behavioral attitudes before and after exposure to structured health education interventions delivered through community outreach programs, media campaigns, and school-based education.
Results: Health awareness activities in Nigeria have expanded in recent years, evidenced by a 75% increase in COVID-19 vaccination uptake and a 50% rise in mental health consultations, alongside improved heart-health awareness, increased primary healthcare utilization, and high HPV vaccination coverage. These gains have been accompanied by more positive attitudes toward sanitation and community responsibility, though inadequate infrastructure, weak policy enforcement, and socio-cultural barriers continue to limit the translation of awareness into sustained healthy practices.
Conclusion: The study concludes that health education campaigns are effective tools for promoting positive attitudes and improving environmental sanitation and waste management behaviors. It recommends the integration of continuous health education with supportive policies, community engagement, and improved waste management facilities to achieve long-term environmental and public health benefits.
2026-02-01T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Usman Bishirhttps://ejournal.gomit.id/aktual/article/view/545Training and Assistance in Creating Product QR Codes and QRIS as an Effort to Increase Income and Competitiveness of MSMEs2026-01-20T19:30:34+07:00Vika FitranitaVika.fitranita@unib.ac.idIndah Oktari Wijayantiindahoktari24@gmail.comFerzha Putra Utamafputama@unib.ac.id
Background: MSMEs, or micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, are crucial to economic growth and must constantly innovate to be competitive. MSMEs are urged to implement digital strategies in business operations, especially in marketing and payment systems, in tandem with the quick development of digital technology. In order to increase transaction efficiency and market access, the Indonesian government supports the "Go Digital" campaign, which includes implementing the QRIS and product QR codes.
Objectives: This study aims to improve the digital capabilities of MSMEs through training and assistance in the use of QRIS and product QR codes to support business sustainability and increase income.
Methods: This community service project involves MSME partners and employs a training and mentoring approach. Information sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and direct instruction on how to utilize barcode scanners, smart cashier apps, and QRIS-based digital payment systems are all part of the curriculum.
Result: The study's findings demonstrate that MSME partners can comprehend and apply product QR codes and QRIS to their company operations. Barcode scanners and smart cashier apps have been effectively used by partners to facilitate everyday transactions. While product QR codes enhance inventory management and product information access, QRIS installation makes cashless transactions quicker and more secure. Increased partner revenue and corporate efficiency are two benefits of these advances.
Conclusions: MSMEs are effectively assisted in navigating the digital transformation through the use of QRIS and product QR codes through organized training and support. Pentecostal churches, with their large following and pervasive influence could promote environmental stewardship geared towards mitigating this problem. It is against this backdrop that this study investigated the role of Pentecostal Christianity in southwestern Nigeria in ensuring environmental security.
Objective: The aim of the paper is to examine the extent to which Pentecostal Christian beliefs and teachings address environmental issues. The paper further explores the role of Pentecostal churches in promoting environmental stewardship through their programmes and activities.
Methods: Using a survey research design, data was obtained from 150 members using the Questionnaire on Pentecostal Christianity and Stewardship of Environmental Security (QPECASES, r = .78). The study was guided by four research questions. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics particularly frequency count, mean and standard deviation.
Result: Results show a considerable belief-practice discrepancy. Significant obstacles still exist, such as unmet negative effects from church activities (Mean=3.08) and an ideological emphasis on evangelism (Mean=2.85), even though respondents confirmed that teachings handle environmental issues to a high degree (Weighted Mean=3.15). Churches regularly arrange environmental projects (Mean=3.72), and leadership modeling can help (Mean=2.99).
Conclusion: According to the study's goals, Pentecostal Christianity provides powerful theological resources to encourage environmental stewardship, but this hasn't yet been properly translated into regular practice. Therefore, Pentecostal churches must undergo institutional transformation as well as theological reorientation in order to address environmental security. In particular, creating official green church policies and incorporating environmental stewardship into congregational teaching and discipleship programs are crucial tactics for coordinating Pentecostal beliefs, church operations, and environmental responsibility in southwestern Nigeria.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Emmanuel Olusegun Lana, Emmanuel Adebayo Popoolahttps://ejournal.gomit.id/aktual/article/view/571Effect of Internal Audit Quality on the Financial Performance of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Entreprises: A Case Study of Some Selected MSMEs in Kano State2026-01-21T08:31:31+07:00Nura Musadonnuray@gmail.comSagir Lawalsagirlawalimam9557@gmail.comFelix KarmaFelixkarma398@gmail.com
Background: The study examines the effect of internal audit quality on the financial performance of some selected Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kano State, Nigeria.
Objectives: The study specifically investigates the influence of auditor independence, competence, objectivity, audit scope, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement practices on the MSMEs financial performance, evaluated using Return on Assets (ROA).
Methods: A quantitative research design was adopted, employing structured questionnaires administered to 50 respondents across five selected MSMEs.
